Members working in further education are being urged to ‘Vote Yes’ in their industrial action ballot which started this week.
The ballot follows a consultation which saw UNISON members reject the employers’ “pay offer” of 0%. We need members to respond to the ballot and send a clear message to the employers that they need to pay up. The government’s recent comprehensive spending review was less harsh on further education funding than had been predicted and UNISON believes there is money available in colleges for the pay members deserve.
Members who have not received a ballot, or who have lost their ballot paper, can call 0800 0 857 857 to request a replacement.
Vote Yes because you’re worth it!
