Supporters of the National Health Service and all those who want to defend jobs, good public services and a decent welfare state will be marching in Manchester to deliver a clear message to Conservative Party Conference that we mean to Save Our NHS from cuts and privatisation.
All are encouraged to attend this important march and rally on Sunday, and to bring along friends and family. The rally assembles at 11 am on Liverpool Road, off Deansgate.
UNISON will be at the front of the march heading the demonstration, and members are encouraged to stand behind the North West Region banner which will be at the front on the UNISON section.
There will be a raised national UNISON platform at the head of our section and immediately next to it will be Branch Officers who will be giving out Branch T shirts saying ‘Never Trust A Tory With The NHS’.
In case it rains (in Manchester?) we will also be giving out transparent ponchos with the same logo printed on the back.
These will be distributed on a first come, first served basis.
Leaflets giving details of the demonstration are still available at the Branch and can be collected before Thursday, but we will use the remainder for public leafleting in Albert Square and vicinity on Thursday morning from 8.00 – 10.00am. All are welcome to assist.
Please do talk to colleagues and friends about the demonstration and encourage them to attend.
Any questions? Just contact the Branch…
See you there…
