Five years ago Rachael Slack, and her two year old son Auden, were stabbed to death by Rachael’s former partner. Today, an Independent Police Complaints Commission review into the investigation of the police’s involvement with the case shows that much more should have been done to protect them.
That’s why I’m emailing again to ask if you could share our petition with your friends and family – we urgently need more signatures. How many more women have to die before we see change? The more people who sign the petition, the more chance we have of convincing Theresa May that a public inquiry is the only way to ensure victims of domestic violence get the protection they deserve.
Posting the campaign on Facebook or Twitter only takes a second, but it will mean that hundreds of people see the petition and can join our campaign. If you can email the link around as well, all the better – that will allow us to spread the word to people who don’t use social media.
Thank you for standing with us on this vital issue.
