Chorlton Arts Festival 2014: From Manchester to Madrid

A collective of artists using prose, song, poetry and an exhibition will tell the story of Greater Manchester’s unsung heroes and heroines who fought Fascism in Spain. Join us for a moving and inspirational night. ‘No Pasaran’!

As part of the Chorlton Arts festival in Manchester the story of Manchester’s involvement in the Spanish Civil War is being told in word and song, find about those local men and women who served in the International Brigades and with Orwell, how Manchester looked after Basque refugee children and how Guernica was displayed in a car show room in Manchester.
