We are within 60 days of the most important election in recent memory. We have seen the effect of 5 years of austerity on our services, our families and our members – we need to discuss the issues and know what’s at stake. North West Learning and Organising Services are pleased to announce a 1 day political workshop.
Date: Tuesday 7th April
Time: 9.30- 4.30
Venue: Arena Point
The workshop is free, lunch is provided and travel expenses should be discussed with the branch. In the workshop we will cover:
- Election timeline – what are the issues
- The welfare state – why was it necessary and where do we go from here
- Arguments for austerity and how to answer them
- How you can get involved
- Action planning for the future
Plus a Unison speaker to give information about campaigns happening near you.
