On 20th September the UK Student Climate Network is calling on everyone – adults, workers, community groups, trade unionists and everyone in Manchester to join them in a global general climate strike. Our branch will be joining people all around the world in what’s set to be a massive day of climate action.
Everyone is welcome and let’s make this the largest climate mobilisation the city has ever seen.
Manchester UNISON will be assembling outside Central Library at 12:30pm on Friday 20th September.
Any members wishing to participate should look out for our branch banner and bring along a bell, or alarm clock, so we can all make some noise at 1pm as a signal to Government that their “Time is Up” and we need to take action on Climate Change now.
Join us. Let’s mobilise together.
