The Branch has organised many meetings across Manchester City Council workplaces to discuss the City Council’s “m people” proposals. For those that want more information, check the latest Branch Mancunion newsletter which was dedicated to this issue.
The last Branch briefing before the ballot takes place in the Friends Meeting House, at the rear of Central Library, Mount St, between 3-4pm on Thursday 28 October. As ever, all UNISON members are welcome. If you’re not a member, but want to join, have a word with your local steward or let us know…
The next stage in the process is that all UNISON Members who work for the City Council and who will be affected by “m people” will be sent a ballot paper and asked whether they agree with the proposals. The Branch has recommended that the proposals be accepted, but as ever, members will have the final say. Ballot papers are being sent out this week, but if you haven’t received yours by Friday 29 October, please get in touch with the Branch staff.
