A national unity demonstration has been called for by Stand Up To Racism and Unite Against Fascism to counter the growth of the far-right in the UK as they become increasingly confident and vicious in their activities.
The demonstration is due to take place in London on 17th November and is backed by Dianne Abbott and John McDonnell alongside a whole host of trade union leaders, politicians and cultural figures.
The Branch has agreed to support travel to London and anyone who wishes to attend should send an expression of interest and their contact details to unison@manchester.gov.uk.
