The election for UNISON General Secretary is well underway. Manchester UNISON Branch overwhelmingly agreed to nominate John Burgess for the post.
Unfortunately in the past there have been low levels of turnout in the elections and given the threats of five more years of pay cuts, the slashing of tax credits, attacks on our pension rights and our right to take action it is vital all members vote for who they want to lead us in the years ahead.
Every member should now have received their ballot paper and if not members should call UNISON Direct on 0800 0857857 to request a replacement.
The ballot closes 4 December and every member is urged to vote and have their say in this election which is vital to all our future.
